We run a large variety of activities throughout the year and are constantly looking at creating a programme which is exciting, informative and overall enjoyable. During the first two and a half terms of the school year the evening is split into badge work, sports and a break for snacks. We also run a special evening each half term to allow a break from the badge work.
The Discovery Programme has a selection of activities which breaks down into three categories; Skill, Recreation and Community. This is a four year programme and each category offers its own badge, with each year spent on it granting a new badge. At the end of the four years the young person, after some extra volunteering, is awarded their President's Badge, the second highest badge that can be earned in the Boys' Brigade.
Alongside their President's Badge, our young people are offered the chance to partake in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
As part of the Duke of Edinburgh award each young person is required to:
Particpants must also complete an expedition, in a team of at least four, in The New Forest or similar countryside.
